I visited Vienna at the end of March and I was lucky enough to have spent three incredible days as a guest at Altstadt Hotel.

Altstadt is a Boutique Hotel with long history, making your accommodation there pleasant and meaningful. How so? By considering your stay as a piece of art, of course.

Location
The hotel is located in a renovated, historical building at the popular district called Spittelberg, only five minutes away on foot from the museum area and 10 minutes away from the Saint Stephen Cathedral.
he Spittelberg district is totally safe, so you will have no issue walking back at the hotel at night, after going out.

During the walk between the city and the hotel, you will come across the museum area, so you won’t feel bored at all.
Accommodation

Each suite – room has its own character and is decorated differently. Created by famous architects, they’re all dedicated to various important Austrian figures, amongst others.
We stayed at the Josef Frank Suite #78.
It’s a suite of about 50m² consisting of a hall, a WC, a living room and one bedroom.
The suite was made in honor of the Austrian-Swedish architect and designer, Joseph Frank, who was one of the most important artists of Modernism.

The hotel has 86 inspiringly decorated rooms and suites, one of which will fit your personal taste for sure.

If you’re traveling for work and are in need of a quiet place to think, but at the same time want the place around you to look pleasant, then suit #77 is the ideal choice for you.

This suite was named after the grand piano of the same name placed there. The creator of the Bösendorfer Piano was born in Vienna in 1928, playing a huge part in the growth of piano music during the 18th and 20th centuries.

In the bedroom, there is a chandelier, where you can place notes, writing about your thoughts and impressions of the hotel.
Lena Hoschek Suite #79

This specific suite is decorated in retro style and crafted in great detail from beginning to end.
The Austrian designer named Lena Hoschek had given the suite her personal note.

This is one of the largest suites of the hotel, consisting of two bedrooms and a shared living room. The dark-colored wallpaper along with the luxurious wooden furniture create a very friendly atmosphere during your accommodation.

Breakfast - Bar
One of my most favorite moments during my accommodation at any hotel is breakfast time.
Alstadt Hotel will take you by surprise for sure, since it offers a rich, variety breakfast, served in a warm, bright hall.

The breakfast hall is bright and beautifully decorated.
