Baixa House, Lisbon

Baixa House, Lisbon

Every time I visit a place, especially if it’s only for a few days, I choose to stay at the city centre.

I want to be near to all the interest points, without having to waste time trying to reach them.

I also don’t enjoy using the Means of Transport or taking a taxi in order to go somewhere; I’d rather walk around the city, since I find that this is the only way to discover its colours, shapes and scents.

Accommodation

BAIXA HOTEL LISBON 10

Figuring out, why the hotel is called this way, is pretty easy.

It was named after the most traditional Lisbon neighbourhood, the region of Baixa.

BAIXA HOTEL LISBON 2

Consisting of 13 apartments, this Lisbon hotel has an air of hospitality.

Built on an old, restored building that dates back to the 18th century, it has been renovated in great detail, maintaining most of its initial characteristics, such as the wooden floors, tiles and windows.

Staying at an apartment like this is definitely an easy way to fall in love with Lisbon, since you have everything at your feet.

Even after a restless Saturday night at the city, your bed will only be meters away – that way you won’t have to spend money to return at the hotel.
