Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort

I’ve been on the island many times, this one, however, was special, because I was a guest at the Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort. Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort.

If there’s a must-visit summer destination in Greece, that’s definitely Mykonos!

The beaches, the night life as well as the five-star services it has to offer are some of the island’s highlights for sure.

Location

Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort is a five-star hotel at the region of Saint John, just 5 minutes away from the center of Mykonos by car and, of course, the famous region of Matoyania.

Reception

Once you step foot in the hotel, you feel an overwhelming rush of hospitality and a sense of comfort combined with luxury; that’s how you’re sure you’ve made the right choice.

Upon arrival, the hospitable staff is ready to welcome you in a unique, VIP way, guiding you through a special place and offering you coffee or -even better- champagne.

Accommodation

All hotel rooms have beautiful sea view, so that guests can enjoy the endless Aegean blue.

The suites are spacious, with an Aegean-inspired atmosphere.

We stayed at a Premium Sea View Room of approximately 37qm with its own steam area, a WC and a wonderful bathtub, which, I have to admit, was our guilty pleasure, accompanied by delicious champagne.

Apart from the rooms with view, there are also private pool rooms at the hotel.

Όποιο δωμάτιο και αν επιλέξετε, σίγουρα δεν θα απογοητευτείτε!

Breakfast - Bar

I’ve said it one too many times, but I will continue to, especially for this particular hotel…

Breakfast is one of my most favorite moments of the entire day, and the Mykonos Grand staff have set the bar too high.

It’s the first hotel I visit that has an open kitchen. And what do I mean by that?

Apart from the giant buffet, which is available every morning from 8 to 11 am, offering you a big variety of high-quality goods, such as various kinds of bread, croissant, jams, etc., you are also given the choice to have the staff prepare hot dishes out of their menu for you as well, while all cured meat and cheeses are cut right on spot, in order to be kept fresh.

Breakfast is served at the pool area with sea view, for a smooth start of your day.

Of course, if you’d rather enjoy your breakfast in your own privacy, there’s no problem at all!

Althea Spa Retreat

There’s no way you can leave Mykonos Grand Hotel & Spa without visiting its Spa area and enjoy the services it offers.

Usually, the spa area in any hotel is located underground, with no view and no light.

However, Althea Spa makes the difference, since its spa area is bright, with sea view, while the island of Dilos is also visible from there, exuding its own unique atmosphere. Apart from that, if you choose to have your spa time during in the afternoon, then you’ll get to enjoy one of the most wonderful sunsets you’ve ever witnessed.

Apart from the inside spa area, there’s also a beautiful space outside, where you can have your massage.

Swimming Pool

Given the 500qm, heated pool of the hotel, I’m pretty sure that most days of your vacation will be spent there.

No matter which side of the hotel you choose to go to, you’ll be able to enjoy the wonderful view as well as the dreamy Aegean sunset.

Wine Cellar

If you want to enjoy everything that the hotel has to offer, you’ll need a whole week for sure.

At the cellar of Mykonos Grand Hotel, you’ll have the opportunity to take a ride at the wonderful wine world. You’ll get to choose out of a vast variety of wines to find your favorite one, which I’m sure you will.

Sunset at Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort

I’ve probably left the best for last…

It’s one of the most magical sunsets of the entire Aegean Sea.

The hotel is located at the southwest part of the island, looking to the west, which, as a result, offers you the view of the wonderful sunset color combinations.

The hotel is located right in front of the sea, with its own pier, in case you want to take a dive or have some fun at the beach.

As a guest at the Mykonos Grand Hotel & Spa, I’d like to thank the friendly staff that made me feel at home, but most importantly, I’d like to give a huge shoutout to miss Theano Karathanasopoulou, who is the Sales Executive of the hotel, for our wonderful collaboration and for personally guiding us through the hotel rooms and suites.
