We all have our bucket list of must-have trips, and mine includes plenty of North European destinations. One of them was no other than the dreamy HALLSTATT! So these are my Postcards from HALLSTATT.
It’s the most photographed village in Austria and I can’t say I’m surprised.
Hello everyone and welcome to my Blog!

Είναι πραγματικά ένα χωριό που μόλις βγήκε από το παραμύθι.
It’s truly a fairy tale like village. Don’t be shocked if a fairy or perhaps an elf is waiting for you at any corner while you wander around the magical alley walks!

Reaching Hallstatt
You can reach the village either through Salzburg or through Vienna.
. I chose to have a road trip from Vienna: I rented a car and arrived at HALLSTATT in about four hours.
You’ll find lots of other places worth visiting on your way, such as Gmunten. You shouldn’t miss it!

Of course, there’s always the option of the train, but it is kind of exhausting, as you will have to switch between four different trains, which is why I chose the car. Besides, roads in Austria are traveler friendly, making road trips nothing but enjoyable!

Description
The village is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Βρίσκεται πάνω στην ομώνυμη λίμνη, έχει περίπου 900 μόνιμους κατοίκους και βρίσκεται πολύ κοντά στο Saltzburg, στα σύνορα με την Γερμανία.
Located at the Hallstatt lake at a close distance from Salzburg, it has about 900 citizens. Even though there are many small villages around the area, Hallstatt is the most popular one, a famous tourist attraction.

Κεντρική πλατεία
The village is so small, that there’s no way you’ll miss the main square.
In a magical way, it feels like all roads lead you there.
There, you can find beautiful small shops and enjoy a hot chocolate or a cup of coffee accompanied with a little treat; or you can simply photograph all the colorful houses around the square.
